Attendance Policies

Being on time for school and regular attendance is a large part of students’ success in school. Absences create problems for both students and teachers. Students who are frequently absent get behind in their schoolwork and tend to lose interest in school.

All absences are to be reported to the office (328-3701) each day that your child will be absent. Please do the following if your child will be absent:

  • Leave a message on voice mail between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
  • If a message is not left, the office will attempt to contact parents/guardians at home or work.
  • If the parents/guardians did not call in and contact was not made, the student is to bring a note stating the date(s) of the absence and the reason. The note should be brought prior to school starting in the morning.
  • Students, who return from an absence, arrive late, or leave early must check in/out of the office.
